I'm looking for a sub £300, easy to use/edit from/etc camcorder. Not even sure what media I'm best looking at getting. Suppose a DVD one would make transfer of data to PC easier, but then what do I know! :help:

What specs should I be looking at for my money? Any makes and models already stand out?

I would really appreciate any help that my fellow Forum members might be able to give

I'm still saying stick with MiniDv tape (quality, ease of editing), but the tide is changing soon I expect. Have a look at the Sony HC range-an HC44 or 46(a 44 with DVin) or the Panasonic GS180. I'm getting a little out of touch with the latest models though.

I was going to ask the same question, wanted to spend around £250 with DV/tapes though, any suggestions ?

GS180 / GS150 all the way - stunning quality for the money !
