OK, will this work?

I have my Panasonic digibox connected to my Pioneer DV373 to allow entry to my one and only RGB scart on TV.

My video runs into the digibox and then through the same system.. Of course it passes a video signal only.

Now then, if I put my PS2 RGB scart into the sky box will it allow the RGB to pass all the way through to my TV?

(ps I haven't bought the ps2 scart yet hence my query!)

Do you mean you'll be plugging your PS2 into the sky box second scart socket instead of the DVD player?

In which case, it'll work just fine.

Of course, you'll have to unplug your DVD player to do so. You may need a switching box. Btech do a good range available from beyond hifi.

If you're trying to pass the RGB signal through your VCR, then DVD and Sky box, then it won't work, or rather you'll only get a composite signal.

Sorry m8 confused you a bit.

The video goes into the skybox second scart. The digibox outputs to the second scart on the dvd player. The DVD player is connected to the TV.

So essentially I would remove the video and plug in the PS2 and then run the video by RF probably!

Will it all work?

Yes it would all work fine.

I believe that BTech make Scart break-in adaptors that allow you to use a scart socket as both an RGB passthrough and composite out at the same time, or vice versa.

They are like a short scart lead but one end is a pod with a scart socket and three RCA. You'd connect the RCA sockets to one scart socket on your VCR for recording. You can then connect the second VCR scart directly to your second scart socket on the TV for playback.

That is, if you have two scart sockets on your vcr.

I thought that the Second SCART Socket on a Digibox was NOT RGB. Mines not anyway and its a Panasonic.

I have the same setup as you

VIDEO ------> SKY (2) -------> SKY (1)RGB -----> DVD (2)RGB ---->DVD(1)RGB -----> TV RGB

If you press play on Video it plays on AV1 if you record from SCART on Video it records SKY...

The second scart doedn't output RGB but it will work as a passthrough if you connect a DVD player to scart2 and a TV to scart 1

It doesn't matter in which order you put the DVD and sky box.
