I am thinking of upgrading from my Sherwood 6095rds to an Onkyo TS DX595 (better quality, Pro logic II ..... )
The rest of my kit : Tanoy MX3's , MXC and MXR's along with a Hitachi DVP250e through a Sony Wega 32"

Does anyone have any opinions on this nice looking bit of kit that has had some fairly good reviews ?

Thanks ....

I've been using a 595 for around 6 months ago (with Mission FS2 AV Speakers) and I've been more than happy with my choice.

Bulletproof buildquality, a usable remote - but more importantly decent dts/dd performance alongside plII which I hadn't really specified - but was glad that I ended up with.

Also the basic stereo performance is pretty good with analogue sources (in my case mainly vinyl via a mixer).

Recommended if you can capture at a competative price.

Thanks guys,
It sounds even better to me now but I can't find it for less than £350 @ hifi junkies and £357 @ QED. When did you get it for £300, was it part of a deal or did you just charm them into dropping £50 off the price ?
