View Full Version : Use for an Old Xbox
I am thinking of getting a 360 in the near future which would make my original Xbox redundant. Are there any (serious) uses for it without resorting to selling it? It hasn't been chipped (yet). I was perhaps thinking of using it as a media jukebox/DVD player for the bedroom.
Cheers

its an ideal media center. I have 3 of them. Softmoddding is an option too, less hassle than a chip. I softmodded all 3 of mine in about 5 minutes each.
How would I go about doing this (the box is out of warranty now)?

can't talk about it on here.
Just google it, shouldn't take long to find :)

im not sure if im allowed to talk about it much on here, but to softmad you need a way to get a saved game downloaded from the internet onto your xbox and a copy of splinter cell. (i used an xbox -> USB converter and my PSP with the save on a memory card, the xbox sees the psp as a xbox memory card)
the xbox is picky about what "non-xbox" usb devices it would see as a xbox memory card but the PSP works for me.

I think it could be an excellent:
Door stop
Paper Weight
Weapon
Platform to stand on to reach high up cupboards
The wife would probably like to use it for the last item there Vintage as she is quite small! Or the 3rd depending on time of month!

they'll be used for crushing old xboxes ...
Well the PS3 is more or less the same size a the 360, its just about 6 times heavier than a 360!
