IF you haven't seen this buy it now!! Bargain of the week for the greatest movie ever made.
:)
There's no dolby surround on this? :gag:
Think I'll wait for the super-duper-special-collectors-limited release next year?

Yeah - be aware that there is a bells-and-whistles treatment coming next year (is it the 25th anniversary? Something like that).

Blimey, what a bargain. I want to wait for the bells and whistles set though.
Cheers Op. Been meaning to get this for ages. :)

Dolby 2.0 :gag:
What wrong with that? That is how it is suposed to be heard in. A 5.1 track would spoil the marvellous Vangelis score.
It is a bargain. I paid £11.99 for the R1 when it came out.
Dolby 2.0 :gag:
How many ears you got?

I thought I got this cheap for £6 from CD-Wow a couple of months ago. No sense not buying it if you're a fan or simply curious as you should be able to make the money back selling this on eBay.
How many ears you got?
2 - How many have you got 5.1 ?

Thanks OP I wasn't going to bother but at that price I'm tempted.
Pity it's not really £3.97 :( . I've just placed an order the other week which I could've included this.

Dolby Surround is by it's nature DD2.0 unlike DD5.1 or DTS Dolby Surround is matrixed from DD2.0 Stereo.
The previous DVD was definitely Dolby Surround I'm sure this is. It worked well enough, and will be fine until the proper DVD comes.

There is a Ridley-approved 5.1 mix (presumably that was done way back when the original super-duper special ed was mooted only to be stuck in dev. hell - though it's now set to be released finally next year).
This has been showcased with HD broadcasts of the Dir's Cut on German HDTV.
nwgarrat: From the DVD I acquired of it, it certainly sounds like a proper remix - and I can confirm that Vangelis' score sounds great in 5.1...

No one said there isn't. We're saying this DVD doesn't contain it.

Yes
Has the super duper version been confirmed?
Yes, check DVD Times.
I can't believe anyone would prefer the happy ending and awful narration.

I won't believe the super version until I see it for myself. It has been on and off for more than 5 years. I got this version just in case something happened to the super version at the last minute and it is cancelled.

There's never been a press release from Warner Brothers before, which included this limited release (which has been released)
I understand your point of view though. If it were £3.97 I'd be tempted.
