Just bought one of these to replace my Wharfedale 890

Picture looks OK at home and better than my old Wharfey with the bars on the left hand side of the screen.

One question though, when i have both DVD player in AV1 and Sky digital in AV2 switched on, the dvd player takes priority , and scrambles the AV2 picture. Well turns it black and blue and rolls from right to left !!!

Whats happening here ?

Is there a way to have them both on ?

Seems like the budget TV is infact using 2 scarts, but actually splitting 1 signal

My Hitachi Widescreen does this, but I don't know if it's a common problem - I went and got a SCART switch which isolates (via push buttons) the various devices which seems to work well - cost about 10 quid

I was looking at a Mitsubishi BDS2151S with the two scarts. Does your one support Svideo through AV2? I asked in the shop and they couldn't make up their mind if it did. Whats the picture quality like with a RGB connection and does it shift the left edge of the image off the screen.

Out of interest does this service menu remote key combo work, MENU 2 3 5 7 (press one key after the other). If it does, if your careful adjusting settings you might be able to change the priority of the scarts.

Another question I was trying to get out of the shop was did the Mitsubishi support NTSC 3.58. They just laughed when I asked and told me to P off.

Is it true that these aren't 'real' Mitsubishis? I'm sure I heard that they are Scottish Power's 'own brand'. If true, I think it's a little sneaky....#
