anyone know a hack to make this multi region?

I couldn't find one on dvd reviewer although I'm sure someone told me all sony players were remote hackable. is this true?

nah, they probably said no sony players can be remote hacked. Unfortunatly they cant be, has to be physically modified.

I have seen that the Sony 300 and possibly 400 are remote hackable. However unfortunately it is not just a few buttons (as in cheaper players). It involves an extremely large number of codes (which you can't do with the supplied remote). Therefore a number of retailers are selling a preprogrammed remote with them in from £20 upwards.
This makes it auto all regions however RCE compatibility depends upon the firmware version, this has only recently been changed and only latest firmware allows RCE palying with this fix.

so where can i get one of these remotes then?

does anyone know anywhere reputable who would do a fix? how much does this cost?

i have a nice multi region wharfedale but my g/f folks splashed out on the sony for her so we kinda want it fixed so we got multi region in both rooms.
