January 25 sees the release of 4 Superbit DVDs by Col-Tristar in France:
5th Element, Gattaca, Godzilla, Desperado
They will feature reference-quality transfers, English sountrack in both DTS 5.1 and DD2.0

Does anyone know if Columbia will also release these titles in the UK?

I haven't heard about this. Anyway, Fifth Element isn't even a Columbia Tristar UK release - it's from Pathe.

I haven't seen any Superbits released in the UK either. It's interesting to see Godzilla on that list. i don't recall that one being released in the States. Wonder why that is.:D

I think you're right.

I thought the only Superbit releases so far have been R1...
