So there you have it. All divisions have been randomised, apart from the conference which consists of all the new/unproven players. Please don't turn this thread into a dsicussion of the rights & wrongs of this. I've made my decision. It's a new game on a new console, let's start from scratch!

If you want to change your team, you can as long as its not an elite team (see post 52 of the signup thread) and somebody else in your division hasn't already picked them.

Rules

1. Matches are to be played on a home and away basis. I suggest these are played in the same session one after the other to keep the league moving at a decent pace.

2. The setting for the matches are :-

Matchtime – 10 mins
Injuries – Yes
Max subs – 3
Extra Time – No
PK – No
Player Condition – Random
Weather - Fine

Any other setting are at the discretion of the host.

3. The bottom 3 teams in the division will be relegated. The Top 3 promoted.

4. If a player drops out of the league, his results will be removed from the records.

5. Disconnections - If the match disconnects:-

0 - 15 mins - restart with the scores reset
15 - 45 mins - restart with the scores of the 2 games combined.
45- 70 mins - the 2nd half host restarts, with the game ending at half time. The scores of the 2 games are combined.
70 - 90 mins -The 2nd half hosts restarts a 5 minute game which will end at half time. The scores of the 2 games are added together.

6. Results should be posted in the thread as soon as possible after playing the matches. Post offical results in BOLD. They should also be submitted at www.dvdfpes.co.uk , where you should all be registered!

7. Any player who doesn't play within the published deadlines will be removed and banned from the following season. If a player gets removed in a second season, they will receive a lifetime ban.

8. Lag – If you experience lag in the first half of the match, you must disconnect within the first 10 minutes of playing time. Any goals scored in these 10 mins will not count, when the match is restarted.

If the lag appears when the half time connection switch is made, the client must disconnect within 10 minutes. The 2nd half host will then re-start the match with the game ending at half time. The score of the 2 games will be added together.

9. Matches should be arranged either in the season thread or by using the messenger system on the 360.

12 games - 14th Jan 2007
16 Matches -21st Jan 2007
Season Ends - 28th Jan 2007

Miss one deadline - you'll get a warning, miss 2 & you'll be removed & get a season ban. Any player who diesn't complete his games will also get a season ban.

When a banned player is let back into the league, they will start in the bottom division!

Remember - It's only a game, It doesn't matter where you start in season 1, it's where you are in season 7 that counts!!

With Ono and Spenny in my league I'm wondering if my squad will be big enough to last the season with all the injuries they will pick up. It's a shame red cards don't bring a suspension.

Thanks. I blame Robbie Keane. That little scamp kept running behind my defenders while still managing to stay onside. :razz: I think I must've fallen victim to the old chesnut of, once conceding, trying harder to get a goal, resulting in more holes at the back for you to take your chances with.

I'll just keep practicing for now, and see what happens come the real season.

Following on from my post on the Champions League/UEFA Cup Thread...

My BT Internet is still up the chuffer!!! :(

Wife received a Phone Call from them yesterday saying it should all be working now and to not switch off the Router for 24 hours (i don't switch it off anyway).

But as of this morning, still no change... still not able to access Internet or XBox Live.

Will keep you posted, but hope to back Online shortly.

On a plus though, if i take my Laptop into the Kitchen i can connect Wirelessly to my Mother In Laws Home Network... :D (she stays 2 doors away from us!!!). Very weak Signal but fine for checking my Email.

Thanks for the games. Very scrappy, still not managed to adjust to the way 6 plays yet. I felt unlucky not to have scored a few more goals with the wood work and some other force preventing them! :( However, they would have given me a draw at best. Well played and worthy winner.

Cheers for the games mate, very well played! Not a very good start for me, I think I need a bit more practice shooting and getting my defence sorted!

The first game you were clinical at finishing and I just couldn't score. You just kept getting past my holey defence that just seemed to part everytime you played it through the centre. The chances I had your goaley saved easily.

The second game, I managed to get my defence to actually defend better. I had to keep my CT backs a bit further behind as they aren't very pacey and you just seem to zoom past them. I had a couple of good chances to take the lead but your keeper was in top form and most of my shots went straight to him. You then broke the deadlock on the break with a well crafted goal. The second goal was caused by some farcial passing by my keeper and defender and the ricochet off your onrushing striker from my keeper's attempted hoof just ended back in the back of the net.

Why do we use Random condition rather than Normal?

We had a vote last season & the majority went for random. It adds some realism to the game. Players have good games & they have bad. Nobody plays consistently to the same standard every game.

At the moment I'm using the defualt formation with only a few personnel changes (Vincente, Ayala and Morientes in) but I don't see to be click. I am atrocias with througballs and in the air, the only saving grace is Cañizares is keeping the goal count low.

I have played with Valencia a hell of a lot.

Use your wingers !!! Joquim & Vicente have pure pace put them as wide as you can and get them running at full backs.

Baraja is a good all round midfielder with an eye for goal. Ayala is a fantastic center back. David Villa is the guy to pull the strings for you, play him deep and use his skill to run at defenders and score the goals.

They are my fave pro evo team EVER :clap:

I think you could justly claim that you were robbed of five points there, as you were better than me in the first game, having loads of chances while I found it very hard to create any, and in the second game I thought you'd scored early on only to see it come off the post. That must've been really painful for you, and I think that was the turning point of the match as if it had gone in I don't think I would've managed to fight back.

If only my players would move around the pitch more like they did for my first goal. It's certainly much more comfortable than feeling like I'm fighting a valiant rearguard action, which is what seems to happen in most PES games I've played. :lol:

Some great games there. Lyon are obviously far better than Villareal as I found out! I believe that's my first ever victory against a DVDF player (I've managed draws)

First game was close, I had some decent chances but didn't make anything, Stu took a lot of shots but most from outside the box. I managed to defend well around the edge of the box in both games which kept me in contention. I scored a beauty of a goal, ran the ball down the line, whipped it in and managed to get a player on the end of it. Unusual for me as my crosses usually end up missing the target or getting headed over.

Second game I must have had 10 one-on-ones and failed them all, I only managed to score by getting Forlan running to one side and hitting it across the keeper.

Stu would have won if his wife hadn't turned up half way through the first game. So be warned if he tries to play you when she's nipped out. :nono:

Yep, 2 pens in the first and 1 in the second, only holding dash at the time so no idea why they were penelties, very unfair.

My players keep stopping when switching, momentarily but enough for the wingers to get away. WTF is up with that, it doesn't happen when I go past defenders?

Great games as always. The first game I got caught on the back foot again but you scored a good goal. You cut off most of my passing and I just couldn't get the ball to Nuno Gomes as your defence was solid.

The second game I played a bit better and finally scored albeit from a right scramble. Bounced all over the place between your keeper, defenders and my striker who managed to turn and loop it in. The second goal was a scorcher from Miccoli which your keeper failed to handle. You then came right back at me and a parry from the keeper from way out came back to your striker who turned and looped into the back of the net.

A harsh sending off reduced me to 10 men but I managed to hold on and reshuffle. A Mantorras screamer nearly arrowed into the top corner but rattled the post/crossbar. Luckily I had a man following in who slotted the rebound.

TBH, I find the ref's yellow and red card decisions to be spot on 99% of the time now in this version. I know exactly what tackles will yield me those cards and avoid them when necessary.

Woah I knew I'd be in trouble when I was elevated to the Premiership and playing against people who top my friends list at Pro Evo. Haven't played Scott for ages and he tore me to bits. He toyed with my defence giving me my worst ever result and it would've been worse, but for a penalty save. I just wanted this match to end. The second match, more of the same really but it made it to half time in one piece and thought if I rode my luck I would maybe only get beat by 1 or 2. Then I get 2 goals and I'm in dreamland. I want the game to end again. Then it happens he pulls one back. Then I get a man sent off and give away a pen. Somehow I save it and hold on, though how I will never know. Great games mate - you made me a jibbering wreck :lol:

A cracking second game where you could have and should have won were it not for some stowic defending from 10 men, nay giants of the game of football who beat away anything you could throw at them!

First game I had a mad 5 mins and everything I hit seemed to go in, whilst Valencias defence seemed all over the place.
Second game was a much tighter affair and was a just result (although I should have taken advantage of your 10 men :( )

The whole confirm this score never fully worked anyway. I thought about fixing it but when I asked in the sticky general consensus was to leave it as everyone liked the auto updating.
