View Full Version : Videologic's Digitheatre or Digitheatre DTS?
I am thinking about getting one of these little beauties to go with a Dansai DVD player to make a second system for the lounge (I have my main setup in a dedicated room :) ). I can get the Digitheatre for £149.99 delivered from Tiny, or the DTS version for about £225. My question is this... is the DTS version worth the extra £75? Apart from looking slightly different (and one having DTS capabilities) are there any other differences? Do they produce a similar standard of sound as the speakers look quite different? Many thanks for the advice offered :D .
Cheers,
Jon

Hi, first, where have you seen the DTS version for £225? Thats a great price ;)
And secondly, the DTS version is superior both sonically, and in build quality. Most people seem to think that the difference between DD5.1 sound and DTS sound is quite small, and either would be a huge improvement over stereo or Dpl sound. Both prices are good deals, if you are willing to pay the extra (and have lots of DTS discs), the DTS model is excellent. If you just want a cheap entry into home cinema, the normal DigiTheatre is great value for money.
Hi Brunnen-G,
Thanks for the advice. The 225 quid price is from a local store. It's ex-display and according to them a discontinued model hence the reduced price.
