So do Europe actually want to win this or what? How Immonen didn't win that frame I'll never know. :brickwall

What a let down. Quite why they don't just have an odd number of matches I don't know. Oh yes, that'll be for the extraction of betting income, of course!

Not sure I liked the new format this year :?: Team, triples and alternate shot matches seem a bit so-so
Cannot believe Immonen messed up the end of the last rack, guess it shows how tense it is out there :(
So what was the result then? Comments suggest a draw? Is this possible?

Best of 24 ended 12-12. USA retained the cup :(

Yep it was a 12-12 draw and because it was a draw it means the current holders USA get to keep their trophy. Personally I'd have prefered if it was like previous years in which there is has to be a winner. I've been watching the Mosconi Cup for a good few years on Sky now and I have to say that the tournament was probably the best I've seen for pure excitement, though maybe when Europe won it a few years back with Steve Davis winning the final match was also quite special too. I really do think 9 ball Pool is quite an underrated sport at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised if ended up really big in the UK in years to come.
Edit: above poster got in slightly before me with the response, oh well. :)
Didn't realise there could be a draw. Ah well.
I remember watching this years ago but I haven't had Sky Sports in a long time so it's pretty much went unnoticed for me!
