For those who are interested, according to DVD File.com, Fox have officially announced the street date of M*A*S*H season 2 as May 7th 2002. Four months after the first, which is better than Paramount with the ST:TNG. Seems like 2002 is going to be a boxset a month year with Buffy, M*A*S*H, Angel, etc. More expense! :(

Excellent news - just got the first season and for £17.99 it is an absolute bargain compared to other box sets.

I'd pay double the price to watch M*A*S*H, I was way to young when they were first shown - absoultely great stuff.

Very important television as it handled quite a few controversial situations (Beside the war :D ) its is subject matter which was pretty brave for that time wouldn't you say?

Are the versions being released the ones with canned laughter ala Sky-One or without ala BBC 2??

I know the Americans have an un-natural desire for canned laughter and this is the main reason I have not bought the first series yet.

You can select soundtracks - one with canned laughter, one without - so you'll be fine :)

I just wished they'd made the canned laughter free soundtrack the default one :)

Don't see why not, suspect around July/August for Season 1.
