In simple and basic terms, what are the differences between the 2 lenses, and would you say £20 more for the USM was a good deal? I thought I could get a 110% price match, but since it has the USM I dont think this will be possible.

Also, is £449 a good price for the 350D with USM lens? This is the cheapest I have seen, non-USM is £429.

Also, are there any real differences between the black and silver apart from the colour obviously? Does either mean its a UK/European model, or other import?

Thanks
D

What lens... kit?

If so why pay that much when u can get the 400D for the same if not cheaper?

The USM in the lens kit is not 'true' USM so I doubt it'll make much of a difference tbh.

Thanks, I never knew there was such a thing til I realised it was a different lens, and couldnt do the price match I wanted to cos of this.

I can't find the 400d for cheaper than the 350d, plus I like the seperate display on the body for the camera settings, and wouldnt need to have the screen on all the time sucking the battery dry(er). If you can show me where to get the 400d for less than 430 though Id be interested.

Thanks
