Aria are selling the Socket939 Black pundit as 'B' grade stock for £69.33inc VAT Everywhere else has these for £100ish so I snapped one up, what a great suprose when I found it was brand new, I think it's just as the new S754 with ATI X300 GFX is replacing it (?)
Worth a shot? If you're after a cheap HTPC then possibly! Add a HDD/CPU/RAM & a DVD drive and you have a sub £200 (well mine is ~ £120!) HTPC!

Does the stand come off or is it fixed onto the box as Im more likely to have it flat if I was going to use it.
Good Price though.

Decent review at http://www.nordichardware.com/Reviews/?skrivelse=486&page=3
From the pics it looks like the stand just clips on, but as outside cover of the case only covers the two sides and the top, if you lie it down then one end of the case might look a bit ugly.
Does seem a good deal for the money though .
Ordered one and as was in process of inputtng Credit Card details then showed up as out of stock.Processed it anyway and will see what they do.Just got an email saying payment had been taken. Not in any great rush so will see what they say.
Damn Bargain forums.
Cheers for the review and information about the case.

aghh, would have snapped this up, ive allready got an original pundit that used to serve my 360, this would replace a 360 as my media centre.

Base comes off if you want, ordered mine last night & here this morning on standard delivery :)
Lovely little bit of kit! For £93 it's even quite a good deal, considering you don't need much else & it has a DVI-out & svideo/card reader/firewire/etc as well! Most folks (well, me) have HDDs, optical drives lying about the place so its a nice little box!

I will second that, shame as this looks to be pretty cool though.
What kind of things are these capable of?

Me too,I'll only need a CPU and going to order a new 400GB Samsung Spinpoint as wanting to pair this up with the DigiTv USB I go the other week from Nebula.Im currently using it on a 2.4Ghz Celeron Backbones system.
Ive got an Old Pioneer 105 DVD rewriter(anyone remember them) hanging around which I can use for the drive.Might order some more memory as not too expensive at the moment.
If it doesnt come off then will have another look around.

Depends what you're after?
HTPC is what they're really good for, I don't think it'll play HL2 very well!
I'm going to be using mine hooked up to my plasma so I can watch DivX movies (it'll also be replacing my DVD player) i'll stick a wireless dongle on so i can surf the net on it (wireless keyboard & mouse) there is loads you can do!
