French DVD of Traffic

Has anyone heard any word on the new French edition of TRAFFIC ?
It seems to be best version released so far, with some some nice extras and an audio commentary by Steven Soderberg - which for me makes this well worth getting - Soderberg always turns in great commentary tracks...

The commentary appears to not exist (why would he do one just for a French version and not R1?), plus it appears the subtitles are burnt in. The French seem to love preventing anyone outside their country from buying their DVD's, usually when it's the best version too! :(
