Hi,

I'm getting a new computer soon with a CR re-writer in it.
Does anyone know if there is a brand of blank that will work
with this player? I seem to recall it's not supposed to be
able to play CDR's. Mainly want to be able to burn music and
VCD's (mainly TV shows such as Buffy & Enterprise).

TIA

I've tried both Princo and Datasafe discs, which are reputedly accepted by the 725, without success.

i gave a friend of mine some VCDs of various make CDs and his 725 could not play any of them. My humble Wharfedale 750 recognised them straight away.

Princos (the 74min and upto 16x ones) work on my Sony 725 (recorded on Philips 2x CD-RW) for both audio and video cd.

My Sony 536 will not play any CD-R's. It will play the Princo CD-RW'S as described above. They are available from Maplins.

Thanks for the advice.

I have ordered a selection of different CDR/CDRW from
http://www.121cdr.co.uk/
including some princos so I'll give it a go.
