Not sure where this thread belongs (AV Hardware, gaming or even computing), but I have a question about how I could hook a PS3 up to my current AV kit.

I have a HD projector and a DD/DTS amp. I currently use the advanced video cable with my original XBox so that I can pass an RGB signal to the projector and an optical AC3 signal to the amp. Works a treat, but not HD.

The project can cope with HD signals using it's VGA, HDMI or component inputs but has no audio capability. I want to hook a PS3 up to the projector (10 meters from amp and Xbox), but keep the audio* at the amp and still pass a HDCP compliant signal to the projector.

I know very, very little about PS3's and even less about HDCP and I'm curious if anyone knows how I ensure that I get the full Blueray HD experience once PS3 are available.

Cheers!

*Projectors and PS3's are reasonably portable, the kit I use for 5.1 sound isn't, so if I could have Optical/Coax AC3 and plain old stereo, that would be bonus!
