Just thought that all you Argento fans with R2 only machines might like to know that the three double set editions of the Argento films from Anchor Bay all apear to be region 0. That is, they play fine on my normal R2 DVD player. The disks are all excellent too, with great picture and sound, and some interesting special features.

Disk one - Inferno and Phenominon (Creepers)
Disk two - Tenebrae and Profondo Rosso (Deep Red)
Disk Three - Demons one and two.

All disks are uncut and unrated as far as I know, which is nice. If you only had to go for one, personally I'd go for disk 2. The soundtracks are superb - especially for Tenebrae. Anyone know where I can get a CD?

Where's best to get them then?

Sorry to be pedantic but don't order them by those numbers as 2 is Demons/Demons 2 and 3 is Tenebre/Deep Red :)

I've got one and three and am mightily pleased with them. Traded on Demons after I watched it and discovered Lamberta Bava (who actually directed both of these - not Argento) is nowhere near in the same class as Argento or his dad Mario Bava.

/pedantic mode off :)

What about four flies on grey velvet? when do you think that'll get a release? :)

I'm currently awaiting my 2-pack of Tenebrae and Deep Red any day now. It shipped from DVD Box Office on December 18, and, forgiving the Christmas postal stresses, should drop through my letterbox sometime this week.

I'm looking forward to them tremendously, though!

Four Flies has been tentatively pencilled in by Paramount for release near the end of this year (hopefully). Cracking film.

Oops! I guess the extra quality made me think it was ranked above Demons. ;)

I agree with you RE demons, although the first film is worth watching, and nice to have in an uncut format.
