We have an NTL Digibox set-up in a spare bedroom and want to move it into the main bedroom which is next door. I was thinking of just running some more co-ax though the wall to achieve this.

My questions are:

1) Is there any length limit to how far Cable co-ax can run?

2) Do you need any special type of co-ax for this or will normal co-ax suffice?

3) Anyone know where I can get hold of a schematic on how to wire up the actual connection? Is it equivalent to 50 ohm thin ethernet?

You can run it quite a long way subect to:
1. NTLs black coax is best because it is high quality cable. Alternatively the nasty brown ariel cable from DIY will do if you keep it short. We run ~100ft from NTL's termination in our loft downstairs. You can amplify it if necessary - we do.
2. The quality of connection is key. You won't have NTL's excellent connectors so just make the best connections you can - every inferface loses signal.

Your best bet is to leave NTL's termination alone and split off it to other points using am amplifer box if needed.
