Just spotted this (http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=673872&tag=HP1_4a) and thought it might do for my Xbox360 gaming

edit - can't find any in stock, though :(

Awesome price thanks.

Has anyone managed to find the spec? Their website doesn't even mention they sell TVs: http://www.acousticsolutions.net/

I'm wondering if it has Component? Pity it has only 1 scart :( . I can't find anywhere else selling this model period.

p.s - None in Swindon, Bristol, Bath or Trowbridge :(

Any way to check where stock is rather than have to keep selecting a store?

Can the they do it quicker if you ring up?

Resolution 1336 x 800 pixels.

Don't think I've seen that one before, 15:9?

Good point, yuck. I've seen other fake 16:9 sets before. I hope it's not correct.

I know its a little more but they do the Samsung one for £249.99 looks similar but is higher spec which I bought for our bedroom - this was by far the cheapest I found it (apart from last week when Argos was doing it with another £20 off). Cracking TV with 1440 x 900 resolution so works with my Laptop well :)

Click Here for it (http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&searchTerms=5291883)

It's worth noting that integrated freeview tuners don't start appearing until you hit the 26" screen size. This means you'll be needing space (and a plug socket) for a freeview box after they turn the analogue signal off in your area in the next few years.

I've got a 17" Wharfedale with integrated freeview. Admittedly not HD, but who needs HD at 17" anyway?

They have at least one in Walsall. I have reserved it, if anyone wants it they are welcome to the reservation code.

You'd think with TVs this size the target market would be bedrooms. An ideal bedroom set would include DVD and Freeview. But can you buy one? No.

Argos are **** for these deals. Advertise in their emails and have about 2 stores in the country that stock them

I bet they all come back in stock after the gift voucher promo is over with the prices hiked up £20 - £40. ;)

Apparently if you buy gift vouchers you still get the £10 vouchers, so buy 2 lots of £100 and you will get an extra £20 to spend on other things

I agree. When they can knock out freeview boxes for coppers which are really quite diddy, I can't see why all TV's don't have them built in. There are several on the market that do either freeview or DVD, but not both.

Personally I wouldn't want an integration DVD Player they're too basic. I'd want it Multiregion for starters.

You're going to need one anyway unless you have Freeview in your Recorder too. As it's generally accepted you need two tuners (watch + record).

Personally my recorder has Freeview but my TV doesn't so I have a Freeview STB for that. To have Freeview in both it gets expensive. You definitely want Freeview in one (or both) of the two as who wants two STBs.

This is especially important for Sky and Cable people where you have to have a STB so unless you think of this you're going to need two STBs, yuck.

Probably because the UK is small market compared to the rest of the world, who wouldn't need it or couldn't use it.

They said that about DAB radio too, but we now have the big Japanese companies making them.

Freeview is just a brand name for an industry standard digital transmission.

It's because there is still life left in analogue only tuners while many people don't know/aren't paying attention to digital switch over. Give it 1-2 years and Freeview TVs, PVRs and DVD Recorders will be the norm.
