I have seen the strangely enigmaticTV episode called "Galloping Foxley" from Roland Dahl's "Tales of the Unexpected" TV series a number of times, but still cannot figure out whether the character on the train played by Anthony Steel was indeed Bruce 'Galloping' Foxley or not. Of course, he claims to be someone called Fortescue following his 'exposure' by the other man, but then holds his cane over his shoulder in a manner very reminescent of the real Galloping Foxley 50 years earlier. So was he really Foxley after all? What is the general consensus on this one?
I've no idea about this, but will point out that Mr Dahl's first name was Roald. :dork:
I don't think it's him, but it could be. I think John Mills believes at the end he has the wrong man. But the similarity and the fact that Fortescue identifies himself as an Eton boy leads me to believe that the twist is that Mills discovers torture and non consensual sodomy has been much more widespread than one lone son-of-satan from his own schooldays.
Mills' other episode from Tales S2, The Umbrella Man, was the pick of the bunch.
