lol jimmyboy trying to see if its worth having this one over the dts?im in the same position m8,the DTS system is has better build quality,speakers and sound thats why its £350 or recently £250 in a comet all be it a limited amount.
my m8 had the digitheatre in quite a large room whith very high ceilings and it sounded very good,private ryan especially.
for £125 you really cant go wrong and if the original dts bargin was posted "digi theatre for £125" lots of peeps would have jumped at it.
Its cheap enough to sell or use for your pc,if you want to upgrade in the future or like my m8 keep it forever because its still 5.1 and sounds good.

Is this overkill for a PC setup as opposed to Home Cinema? Are there many games that take advantage of dolby?

Are you gonna take the offer for the non-dts version ?.
Do you know if your mates digitheatre came with speaker stands ?, also how long is the cable for the rears ?.

I think I'll get this system too (even though I was looking forward to that dts uber-bargain :( )

The videologic site have one pair of speaker stand/wall mounts for £12.00 - anywhere else sell 'em?

I guess this system is ideal for a 12ft * 11ft bedroom?

no jimmy im not going for the non dts version,i was already to get seperates,but i saw the dts system and thought id go for that instead but:rolleyes: .
the set up doesnt come with stands,you can pick them up at IKEA for £12 a pair they look ok to.
you have more than enough cable supplied with the videologic.

shlunk my m8 had a cambridge sound set up 4 point like mine,only cheap,when we swapped it with the digi theatre to us it didnt perform half as well,but for dvd's it was good,so i dont know what to say,youll have to make your own mind up m8

Just bought it (well, my credit card was just lying there, so I thought I'd put it to use...).

I'll get down Ikea soon as well to get those stands - anyone got a piccy of them?

bluedwarf theres quite a few stands to choose from,the purerists wouldnt like them,with the high end stuff but i think there ok for a videologic setup.I use them for my hi-fi set up anyway.
