Connection To Server Lost

Is it just me having trouble with this. I've got the PS2 version and it appears that
1) sometimes (most of the time actually) i can't even seem to sign into a lobby, it takes about 1 minute sometimes before i get "connection to server lost" after selecting my profile and signing into DNS just fine.
2) was playing an online game and lost connection mid-possession! Was in a competition (The PES CUP) at the time.

Never had these problems with PES5. :oh-hum:

I'm using a linksys wireless router but have PS2 wired to it. Works fine with PC internet and Xbox live...

What's going on? :brickwall

(edit: and there was lag. Some slowdown on field near goal mouth action.. very choppy at times).

Servers been ****** all night mate - there was a notice that they were being worked on and for the last few hours they've been fine, but they've just gone down again - so I'm callign it a night,...

It happened again in the next tourney and i couldn't be bothered with it anymore.

It's not just annoying to have it happen in matches, but there are about 3 or 4 menu options online that you dread to select, like "Ranking", and others that just hang for 3 or 4 minutes while it tries to load and there is no exit or back button you just get caught up in it.

Also, seemingly archaic there's no way it seems to add users as friends without playing them in a match first. The exact same way it was done LAST YEAR.

Online is a mega frustration. Trying to connect and then hanging on loading/connection screens for ages, and once in a game, being booted off. Very disappointed.
