According to play its in 4:3 for region 2, but I have seen on the austraian sites that its a dual encoded 2 and 4 release and 4:3 letterbox ?

Does anyone know if the r2 is in 4:3 letterbox as I see play have is for £7.99 but im not buying a 4:3 disk. ?

I've bought the £7.99 R2, and I can confirm it's 1.78:1 non-anamorphic. Pretty funny too, particularly when Steve Martin sorta shakes Rachel Ward sideways to wake her up. Am I easy to please, or what?

(Mind you, the info on the case is kinda confusing... a "4:3" on top of a widescreenish logo thing...)

Cheers for that. Ill order that one then. I just did not want to get a 4:3 version so the only other option was a R1.

Had you not seen it before then as I think its one of Steve martins best films. Now I only wish they would bring out a good version of "The Man with two Brains" and "The Jerk"

Oh, indeed I have seen it before. Actually I watched it as it premiered here in Stockholm waaay back then... and I agree it's one of Steve Martin's best -- although I rather think it's seriously outclassed by the more recent Bowfinger. Way to pick up the pace, Stevie, that Bowfinger was.

Incidentally my favourite line from Dead Men etc. is - "I wanted to kiss her with every lip on my face."
