I have read that the Arcam AV100 has had its price reduced because the AV200 is coming out. I have been trying to find one at around 400 quid but most places have sold out.

Does anybody know where I could get one (in black preferably).

Also does anybody have any experience of one. I want an AV RDS amp to replace my exisiting large sony stereo.

I don't use tape or vinyl anymore and think I could cut down on a lot of that hardware and get 5.1 into the bargain.

If there are any other suggested AV Amps out there I would appreciate advice, maximum budget around 400 pounds.

My exisiting DVD is a Pioneer DV444

I bought one of these about 3 weeks ago £399 including delivery from Billy Vee (http://www.billyvee.co.uk/) He only had black.Worth trying if you have not already.

I think it`s a cracking buy if stereo is important. No other 5.1 amp comes close for music IMHO.
In 5.1 it`s good but lacks the `slam` and `power` of some comparably priced units. If your idea of good home cinema is impressing your mates with the usual demo `s of explosions and gun fights then there are others better.
Very limited features, just one DSP mode(one too many IMO)and limited bass management options.
