Right its a 2 step procedure to this:

Step #1

Get a full copy of PSP 7, 8, 9 & X. If you have one go on to step #2.
If not Amazon.co.uk (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009450H/thedvdforums-21) have PSP8 for £8.99.

Step #2

Get the PSP XI Upgrade from Misco (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=18461&a=60823&g=447862&url=http://www.misco.co.uk/productinformation/~120373~/product.htm) for about £51 delivered. The upgrade is usable with the above versions.

Of course you could just stick with PSP8 for £9 :D

PSP 10 didn't seem to offer that much above the bargin £9 v8, just some Coral badges slapped on it.

I noticed this is called Paint Shop Pro Photo XI - have they changed the name or is this a different product ??

Same product, but new name. Reflects all the photo editing stuff in it now, is the theory.

Personally I prefer Corel Photo-Paint to Paint Shop Pro it has the edge for usability and features, but like Adobe Photoshop there is little between Adobe Photoshop, Corel Photo-Paint and Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo now. There was a time when PSP was way behind Corel or Adobe.

Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo is even sold as the "budget" alternative to Corel Photo-Paint. I do wonder when they're very similar. I'd assume Photo-Paint can do that bit more.

I'm not sure Corel Photo-Paint is still sold separately or now just part of the larger CorelDRAW, which is seriously expensive. It makes me wonder which is better.

p.s - Talk about confusing names: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo vs. Corel Photo-Paint. Both completely different packages. The latter is there to take on Adobe Photoshop, which personally I've always found to complicated.
