View Full Version : Supernatural S2 [spoilers ahoy!]
 How could they.
I doubt John'll be back until they kill the devil they're chasing at the end of this series (prediction only) - we'll find out that it was part of the deal he made. Or something equally ludicrous. I LOVE it.
Good start to the season anyway - good teaser into what might lie ahead for Sam and "the others", and made me jump twice, which is always a good barometer.
"I totally Swayze'd that mother!" :notworthy

A good start
how predictable was it that the attractive young woman was the reaper
And yes John will probably be back at some point, probably for the season end
So back to the turn up at small town/encounter girl that one of them knew or went out with/encounter urban legend/go to the library for history lesson/obvious twist/defeat urban legend plotlines then
Schlocky stuff but curiously entertaining
I thought it had a bit of a Smallville-esque rip-off to it, the deal with the devil and I thought the demon would collect a little later in the series. But its Jeffrey Dean Morgen, I might of known he wouldn't stick around long.
But an entertaining episode, back where it left off, can't wait to find out what John whispered to Dean.
Episode 2:
Finally - a few reccuring characters they can turn into the mix. I always though that S1 was missing a reccuring base of operations that they could hang out at. Bets on the girl being Sam and Dean's half sister, and Dean only finding out as they're about to make out? 10/1 on. And clowns... *shudder*
Episode 2 for me was made by the character arcs after the events of episode 1. Started off strongly so far has season 2.

Yes on the girl definitely, something there. Either that or they'll keep hinting at it
And yes Phantom Killer Clown
A good episode with a few good laughs
Yikes! ... what is it about Clowns that make them so damn scary? .... This week's episode was probably the creepiest episode yet.

Just watched the 2x02 , good solid episode, continuing a decent start to the 2nd season, and as has been said nice to see some more recurring characters introduced. (Ash is especailly good, his reasoning for having a mullet was :D )

Having Amber Benson playing a vampire was a nice touch in episode 3
Episode 3 was another good episode and 4 has a zombie! I really like the mythology the show is creating for itself and the end of episode 4 was a superb character scene. I enjoyed season 1 but I'm loving 2 so far.
Does anyone know when this is back on ITV2 in the UK???

Indeed, and this series does carry off some good one liners.
"Neil! It's your grief counsellors. We've come to hug!"
That and the "watching porn in the hotel room" scene both made me laugh out loud...

Episode 5
Some very funny stuff
Reminded me of one of the more comedic episodes of the X Files
Great one-liners
I loved when Andy said to the security guard "These aren't the droids you're looking for..." :dork:
I've always said it's like X-Files Jnr, waaay back when the pilot was doing the rounds...
Does anyone know when this is back on ITV2 in the UK???
To answer my own question :) its back on ITV2 in January
2x06
I must be the biggest girl on the planet - because I literally was watching through my hands at points in this one when they were in the sewer with the ghost. They've done away with my theory that Jo is Sam and Dean's sister, but I don't believe the cover story for a second.
Also:
Dean: Young girl got kidnapped by an evil cult.
Sam: Yeah, and does this girl have a name?
Dean: Katie Holmes.
Episode 6, while still decent was the weakest of the season so far. But then again the season really has been excellent to this point.
Yeah it was ok, for a moment I thought it was going to be Tooms from the X-Files with his sneaky slithering through small grates.
When did Sam get that injury to his hand, or is it a real injury?
Zombie college girl did it at the end of episode 4 - Sam says "I think she broke my hand." when they finish burying her.

Yeah, and they had such a good opportunity to reveal it. They sort of teased it for the whole of episode 6, then blew it at the end
Episode 7 dropped the whole story as if it hadnt happened
It was good though as Sam had seemed a little sidelined for the last couple of weeks.
Another nice touch by casting Linda Blair  then cracking jokes at the end
Liked the way this week's episode moved the overall story arc on a little bit with the revelations that the demons are well aware of Sam & Dean and where their Dad has ended up.
According to the preview, looks like we're going find out what Sam's big secret is too.
And the demon was :luv: Of course she had to be gorgeous with cleavage to get lost in. She could have my soul anyday!

Latest ep, (2x09 Croatoan), was a cracking episode , with some really tense scenes, and intreresting developments in the main story arc.
And the ending..aaargh! waht a cliff-hanger!
I knew they'd fade before the revelation !!! ARGH. This has been a superb first half to season 2. Season 1 was enjoyable, but had it's flaws and even I wondered how they could carry on dragging out a storyline. This season though they've added so much and it's a must not miss show for me now.

2x10 " Hunted" : Well, not a bad epsiode to return with after the season break, quite low key, but developing the main story further. The revelation was a bit underwhelming after last epsidoe's cliffhanger I thought, though.
Still , all in all, not a bad epsiode.
So looking forward to this. There have been a few teasers saying "Coming Soon", not bloomin soon enough!

yes that has been the only decent episode for awhile now, I can see it getting canned by season end unless they inject something else into it to perk it up alittle. most eps this season have been very meh :|
^ Not how most people have seen it on the boards I go on. I believe the ratings are also ok.
Decent enough episode this week. Daddy's words to Dean were interesting & add a new dynamic to the show.
The big bad guy will get his hands on Sam, turning him evil. Dean will have the opportunity to end it all by killing Sam, but cant do it, resulting in Super-Evil Sam escaping to cause havoc. S3 will be Dean chasing Sam across the US, attempting to find a way to turn him back to the good-side. :D

I have to agree, enjoyed the 1st season, but the 2nd has been even better due to the introduction of re-occurring supporting characters, and the emphasis on the main story arc.

Episode 2.11 was a big improvement on the slow episode that had gone before
Loved the Shining 'tribute', some nice dialogue between the two leads as well.
Them booking into the hotel
Would I be right in thinking that the old woman let herself die so she could stay forever as child to keep her dead sister company?Hence the last scene of 11 with the two girls.
You are correct.
The gooooorgeous Tricia Helfer (Six from Battlestar) will be guest-starring in a future episode, showing in the US in February.
I wonder which brother gets the chance to hit on her first? :n0rty:

Just finished watching S2 Ep12 Night Shifter.
There's a shapeshifter carrying out robberies by killing a member of staff and replacing them, Sam and Dean go hunting and end up finding out something very important
they find out there is a special FBI task force looking for them that think Dad was a right wing militia nut and that Sam and Dean are paramilitary psychopaths
Things are going to get interesting, maybe they need to go hunting in Peru for 15 or 20 years

Right just caught up with the latest 2 epsiodes.
2x11 "Playthings" : Enjoyed, this a low key but very atmospheric and creepy episode, with a very poignant ending. (And as has been mentioned, the scene when they arrived at the hotel was  "Fred and Daphney, Mmmm! Daphney" :D
2x12 "Night Shifter" Totally superb episode from start to finish, from Dean interviewing the woman at the beginning :D , the excellent supporting character,( poor Ronald) , the cracking plot development throwing a huge curve ball into series, right to the brilliant last scene with the music and the last line of dialogue.
This show just gets better and better, really going to be interesting to see where the writers take it form here. Roll on next week.
Just a bit of gossip from the producers, but I've read they're Buffy fans (hence 3 buffy girls have been in the series), and they want James Marsters for an episode. Would be brilliant imo.
Great episode this week. I love the new element that's been introduced that the FBI are gunning for them.

Well bloody charming... I am not a happy chap one bit.
When the 1st episode of S2 was aired the other Sunday, it clashed with other things I was watching/recording. So when I saw it was repeated on ITV2 on the Thurs... I was a happy chap. However it went and clashed with something else :( But then I remembered ITV2 +1 :) So I set Sky+ and left it at that.
Just sat myself down now and thought I would watch it before I record tonight's episode. Well imagine my devastation when I was faced with the ITV2 +1 logo screen, saying the following:
Due to legal reasons we are unable to show the programme screened on ITV2 earlier.
Totally gutted. One of my favourite shows and I have missed the opening episode... gutted beyond words.
Why could they not show it?

Couple of filler episodes/ a midseason lull after some crackers
The priest one wasnt too bad I suppose
As for the Born Under a Bad Sign one :|
the good thing about the 'Meg' demon was the actress that was playing her. No Meg no point. Saying that though the demon did say it was going to get out of hell and get them, so good continuity there.
Jo
Now can we please go the rest of the season without a character change please for Sam or Dean (shapeshifter or possession). Both have had a bad version of themselves so no more.
I thought this week's episode was absolutely fantastic. Reminded me of the 'funny' X-Files episodes.
Almost fell off my chair laughing at the alien slow dancing with the guy to 'Lady In Red'.
The evil influence of Chris De Burgh has streched further than we could have possibly imagined!

I thought it was good but I hope they don't have too many "moving" episodes in future. Supernatural should stay all about guns and ghosts.

this has just been getting better and better! Although you can usually spot where the plot's going - and where they've ripped it from (oooh that happened in Buffy, oooh that happened in the X-Files!) - it's put together with such good humour it's forgiveable.

Pretty decent finale to the 2nd season, although the writers seemed to be hedging their bets, just in case the show wasn't renewed , tying up long running storylines.
Loved it, was quite pleased in how this "hell army" turned out.
And..
...just giving Dean 1 year left, his time should be about up around the season 3 finale :D
Surprised there was no mention of Joanna though, she seems to have disappeared. I would have thought Dean/Sam would of at least asked about her considering what happened to the roadhouse.
And more Bobby is always good, he should be more a recurring character in Season 3.

Nice to see dad come back although I was hoping he would return properly but it seems like maybe he has gone, although who knows, he might still might be floating around ready to help.
The one downside is the character of Jake, one minute he was good, then bad then good then bad.

Unfortunately, I caught the glimpse of the previous Crossroads episode in the "previously on" section so was just waiting for it to happen.
Still - great ending and they've cleverly set up an arc for the next season too.
Bit late on the scene. Just finished watching the last 4 episodes of the season. Good ending and certainly the writers were hedging bets here. It could easily have closed off the show if they'd been cancelled. When Dean was trying to make the deal for Sam's life I was just sat there thinking 'she'll accept a year Dean, just in time for next seasons finale'!
