they should definitely get more prime time US sports on for more than an hour at a time, would be a really good use of the channel (and I'm not a massive sports fan).
Well after being very excited by the idea behind this channel - that launch line up is very 'meh'.
Very poor, they should just name it the CSI channel.... The Stephen King show is ok (opener was the best episode) & Conviction was excellent but only ran for 13 episodes... otherwise there is nothing else there of note.

Dismal line up. Where’s the wow?
Very poor, they should just name it the CSI channel...
There are only a few eps of CSI though! If you'd said "The Joey Channel" or "The Happy Days Channel" I'd understand. Also Adam Sandler fans will be pleased, shame there's no Happy Gilmore/ Billy Madison
Are these the Season 2 episodes of Joey?

Couldn't have put it better myself. Was looking forward to this channel but it seems to be a complete letdown, judging by the opening schedules. Double bills of Joey, Happy Days and Pimp My Ride! :gag:
Hopefully the future programming will improve.
Conviction (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0494186/) looks interesting. No second series but anything with Dick Wolf's name on is worth a look.
Thought we might get a full repeat of The Shield...
Is this going to be on Freeview?

Yeah, is this a new channel, they kept this quiet?
Is that CSI New York starting from scratch?

There 2 new channels 5US and 5 life (docs and reality shows)
5 are about to lauch there biggest ever marketing campaign so it won't be quiet for long.
On freeview i take it?, is the CSI NY Series 1 Episode 1?
On freeview i take it?, is the CSI NY Series 1 Episode 1?
You only have to ask once (usually)!
According to Digiguide, it is S1

Very poor. I was looking forward to a string of brand new US imports - the stuff that's just started in the States.

That was never going to happen. It doesn't happen on Five or any other terrestrial channel. It's not going to happen on a channel that's going to have fewer viewers than Five
According to the FiveUS website they'll at one point be showing two shows new to the US - 'Shark' with James Woods and 'Vanished'.

It doesn't happen on the terrestrial channels because they all have to limit how much imported stuff they show. Many of them have a commitment to home grown stuff (Channel 4 had their wrists slapped in the 90's for showing too much imported stuff).
With this being launched specifically for US shows then i just expected more of a commitment to showing fresh stuff thus making it a must-see channel.
I;ve never seen CSI-NY so I'll give it a go on here.
A pretty poor line up though for a newly launching channel

That's what I'm keeping my fingers crossed for.

I'm holding out for a full re-run of Love Boat.

.... just watch "Las Vegas" then ... it's Love Boat without the Boat but with better looking Babes.

couldn't be bothered with Shark, but Vanished is
but, seeing as CSI is my least favourite US show after Law & Order, i guess I'll be giving this channel a miss

According to Wikipedia, it seems that CSI will be starting from Series 1 on Five US.
Shark and Vanished are due to appear during the Autumn, and The Nine is expected to be shown at some stage.
Also, Five US and Five Life have secured the rights to 180 TV made movies.
Looking forward to Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

Missed Nightmare and Dreamscape as I forgot this started today.
It looks already the schedule is different. Atm, CSI is on rather than CSI NY.
Also, 4TB PVR's are not showing the EPG yet and how big do they need the DOG.

Looks like Sky arnt keen on the new channels, they've given them really rubbish channel numbers away from the decent channels.

And last night's CSI wasn't from the beginning either - it was Season 3 (ep 1).
The CSI on at 8pm was the first series. Thought it a bit wierd last night to start CSI:LV from the second episode with no mention of the pilot at all or a recap. Anone watching for the first time might not have picked up on it.
Then why leap to a different series later on?

Didn't realise there had been one on at 8pm, sorry....!

I'll be tuning in whenever they show S6 from the start as I missed it on regular Ch5.
Er, "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" is repeated tonight at midnight, so if you missed it last night...

They showed the pilot on Regular C5 at about 11.00 (approx) on Sunday Night. Probably to get people new to the series to watch it on the new channel. Does seem stupid not to repeat that episode though.

Thanks. if anyone has a 4TV PVR. The EPG is still not working so, I had to do a manual timer for it.

Very dissapointed with the immediate line up. Hopefully we'll see some new stuff soon.
Getting fed up with CSI athon. Stopped watching the a while ago as betwwen the 3 of them it just became a repeated formula.

Tried to watch this channel last night but the audio was massively out of sync with the video and every advert break they advertised a film on C5 that started at 9pm.... this was 10pm and later
