View Full Version : IPOD video? How to play upload videos?

Got a 60GB Ipod video.
Vids purchased from Itunes are playing fine, excellent picture etc.
However, have a couple of videos downloaded that are not available on their site.
Nothing dodgy, before the resident wags get hold of this.
Cloudbusting - Kate Bush, Blur - Universal etc
Got these from various share sites over the last couple of years.
Itunes plays them, but the Ipod won't pick them up on a sync.
Any reason?
If there is, can I get round it?

In Itunes - select video, select Advanced, Convert selection to Ipod. In the Helpfile in Itunes if you need more help.

Bugger - have converted all now, worked fine.
Then downloaded and converted some more and now they won't go on.
Any ideas?

What version of iTunes are you using?

Sorry to be a nerk. All is fine. I assumed the video files I needed were quicktime, being apple, so got rid of the mpeg4's.
Smacks self in forehead. Had to redo them having deleted what I thought were the wrong ones.
Helps if I read the instructions I guess. Although they don;t actually mention this.

I use Videora converter which seems to be a bit faster than iTunes.

I just leave it overnight, and it can shut down your computer when its finished.

Assumed everything was fine because I didn't bung the headphones on.
Still having difficulties as the bought Itunes vids play perfectly.
Converted mpegs are playing picture fine, but no sound.
Anybody else use Videora? And do you think this would help?

Looking on other forums, there seems to be a problem with misdubbing or out of sync playing.
That's using videora. I'm still kind of stuck as Itunes has a really ****** list of downloadable vids.

My Videora settings that work (for me):

Video:
Mode: H264 > CBR
Resolution: 320x240
Passes: One
Keyframe Interval: 250
Bitrate: 256kbs
Framerate: Input

Audio:
Bitrate: 96
Channels: Stereo
Sample Rate: Input
