If this link (http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005U2OF/171-6004679-8023419) is to be believed, the French have, as usual, the best edition of the film, with a commentary by Soderbergh, DTS sound, etc, etc...

...nothing here about a 'commentary' - disc 2 features interviews with the director and actors...

...of course there is that dts soundtrack...

... H O W E V E R...

...as the screen grab clearly shows ( http://www.dvdrama.net/news.php3?3873 ) you get 'locked' (i.e. non-optional, non-removable) French subtitles when selecting the English DD 5.1 or dts soundtrack...

. . . :D . . .

and you'll be on your own to interpret the Spanish language scenes that make up a third of the film... :D

BTW - April 2nd is tentative for an R4 "Special edition" release, that's all I know! http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Upcoming/Upcoming.asp?sort=Chrono

Well if there is a new commentary recorded, there's no way it's going to remain confined to the European mainland with a major relase like this surely? I'd expect a US special edition should be appearing eventually.

Oh the joy,

I think my 1 disc R1 just became even harder to offload!
