Not the film...but the 1976 TV series, which I don't think has been re-shown since it's 1st run on ITV 30 years ago. Probably hasn't aged well, but I don't care as I tend to like a lot of older stuff more than newer stuff, anyway it premier's on Sci-Fi at 9pm 6th Oct.

OOOOOOOH yes! I remember it... now I can find out how well. I remember the android from the movie didn't try and kill them but joined them and they traveled around in a hovercraft like car.

But does it have Jenny Agutter's knockers in it?

It won't have any knockers in it but from the look of this cast pic (http://epguides.com/LogansRun/) I'd rather see her's. :n0rty:

Edit - Oh 'eck, it seems that she was one of the children from the Sound of Music!

naahh, Jenny in the original film looked way sexier imo.

Ooh - good spot, one of my fave films and I've never seen this. I shall enter with suitably low expectations!

Oh ****. I remember this first time round. Are you sure it's never been repeated? And you can't beat Jenni Agutter's knockers.

This is the last of the 70's sci-fi series to be repeated in the video era.
Sky+ed it so not seen it yet,but the pilot movie was only 60 minutes without ads so how SFC are going to stretch it to 2 parts will be interesting

I think it was first shown in the 5-6pm Saturday tea-time slot on ITV. I also remmeber it getting a re-run in a Sat morning slot as well in the Yorkshire TV / Central area.

Having watched it, well it looked poor, seemed that some scenes were not edited right or were missing bits, not helped by a very dodgey ntsc copy and at least 4 ad breaks within the program. I'll stick with it for nostalgic reasons only.

YTV were the only region to ever repeat the show--nobody else did.
ATV were the first region to show it ,overestimating its appeal by screening it peaktime on Saturday evenings well before the rest of the ITV network.
Needless to say,it quickly became clear the show was a flop and the other regions gave it slots varying from Sunday afternoons to Saturday mornings.
It looked like ITV retained the prints for 30 years and gave it straight to the SF channel judging from the scratchy tatty worn out copy they showed.
Thanks to the wonders of HDD/DVDR recording it looks like it may be possible to reconstruct the pilot into its original format by joining the first 2 SF broadcasts together and editing out the junk.
What a shame they don't even give us a 50% screen size for the end credits now and believe we want 2/3 of the screen taken up with telling us about whats coming up next.
Lets hope the 13 episodes left (after next weeks Pilot:2) are in better shape than the opener.
I have a very iffy dvd off VHS from ebay that needs replacing but at least it had proper end credits

I'm half way through the first proper episode and have to say, this is brilliant!

It has the lot:

- Amazingly naff title sequence

- Logan displaying a "huge range" of facial expressions: "look disturbed".. "now look jealous.." "now look confused..", all appearing remarkably similar!

- Large dollops of empty corridors painted in orange, yellow, lime green and purprle

- Superb visions of the future (the 'visual book' being a classic)

- Nice neat resolutions to tricky situations

- And then massive random plot twists!

Plus you even get an early beta version of Data from ST:TNG :)

You didn't mention the main attraction - Jessica's legs :luv:

The theme tune is ... awesome... a standard 70's tune (violins etc) with a very annoying beep to make it "futuristic". :D
