Popped into a woolworths today and saw one with a yellow sticker saying it was in a sale and £12.99, I tried to buy it but they had sold out.

I went to another woolies who didnt have any sign of any but I asked behind the counter and he had one, scanned it, bob's your uncle.

I imagine this is in all stores, get them to scan it.

As usual my local store had about 6 copies on the shelf but when I got to the counter I got a 'sorry sir we don't have this title in stock'.... Arggghhhh!!!

Woolworths are absolute ***** for carrying on that caper. They've been doing it for years - I remember picking a copy of Final Fantasy 8 off the shelf only to queue up and be told they were out of stock. Its not hard for Woolworths to stop this happening - if its not in stock, take the chuffing box off the shelf. :cuckoo:

As a result of this way Woolworths operate, I've never bothered buying another game there since, apart from the recent 2 Nintendo DS games for £26 offer, which itself suffered form the boxes-on-shelf-but-no-stock scenario, plus stores having most of the offer titles marked up as full price.

Why not just order it online and get it shipped to the store? :shrug: That worked for me.
