We've all got horror stories of being on hold for 90 minutes listening to Robbie Williams (I have anyway). However, what's the best you've heard?

Mine

Primal Scream - Loaded. Lofra spares.

Awesome! Was only 1 minute though :(

Had most of Mobys play album once.

Worst had to be some 3.99 casio keyboard version of Beethoven's 5th.

The best was the Stereo MC's when I was on hold somewhere.

Worst was Dancing in the Moonlight by forgot the name on repeat for 3/4 hour while on hold with Expedia

I seem to remember someone playing Paranoid Android by Radiohead. Can't remember who it was though.

Oh and Wolverhampton Wanderers ticket office always plays Hi-Ho Silver Lining by Jeff Beck.

Air Berlin- some eurotrash techno with some bint singing about air berlin in german. It was amazing in a really bad sort of way:)

One of my friends has a massive house and a huge family and whenever I called I would usually have to be put on hold, and they had Greensleeves for the holding music, and she's like one of my best friends so I heard it so many times, it was so annoying!

I'm on hold to the client in work approximately 8 times a day for up to 20minutes a time, and they have a naff 8 bar repeated drum/keyboard midi thing over and over and over again. the worst thing is, if i ring the other office, they play alright music down the line from their radio station. i spend far, far too long on the phone and only 1 in 10 have bearable music, the other bad ones are the greensleves etc ones played on a keyboard thats capable of a 2 note polyphony , and even then its barely used. horrific.

15 seconds of tune. Pause. Same 15 seconds of tune. Repeat etc

In 1989 I was going to Florida for the first time, the passport office went on strike (work to rule) and I was waiting for my passport, each time I rang the passport office, the on hold music was "There's No Place Like Home", half an hour of that was very irritating I'll tell you.
