Story taken from IMDB:-

"Escalating monetary demands by Hollywood talent and unions for their participation in DVD "special edition" packages could result in those packages shrinking considerably, according to entertainment writer Scott Hettrick, who focuses on the home-video market. In an article syndicated by Reuters, Hettrick observed that the $75,000 that Arnold Schwarzenegger received to record a commentary for the recent Total Recall DVD exceeded the entire production budget for all extra material on many special editions. Hettrick quoted one producer of such packages as remarking, "Pretty soon we'll just stop doing them." Several DVD producers quoted in the article argued that unions and their members ought to view the extra material the way they do promotional appearances on television, and indeed, Hettrick observed, the material is not crucial to DVD sales. He noted that the recent release of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas became one of the fastest-selling DVDs ever without most of the exclusive bonuses."

I think this has been posted before. What you'll find is that actors/actresses etc will have it in their contracts prior to filming to participate in the filming and recording of extras, rather than asking for ridiculous amounts after production like Arnie did.

99% of actors are underpaid - people like Arnie are very much the exceptions!

I wouldn't have thought it was those actors that are complaining  And if they were not many would take notice. It's always those that earn the most want the most.
