This one is pretty good! Most photography ones I've been to really don't seem very helpful to newbies and some are a little cliquey. Here there's usually someone who has the knowledge to answer a question and is happy to help out.

I've only been using the photography thread here for a couple of weeks, and so far have been very impressed by peoples knowledge and willingness to help. :thumbs:

www.fredmiranda.com - You need to be a pro with lots of expensive kit to get replies here ;)

Fredmiranda.com is pretty essential reading if you're thinking of buying any new lenses as the user reviews give a good indication of performance and any potential problems (although there are usually a few unhelpful ones like "this £50 lens isn't as good as my £3000 L one!!" or "not a pro lens - avoid!!" on a bit of consumer glass).

POTN is also pretty good for Canon users and/or for general photography equipment / stuff
