Does the 'Dansai 852 DVD Player' output 'DTS'?

A great budget player which definitely does o/p DTS and it sound great through my humble Yamaha A5 amp and HT speakers.

Does your mate understand that he needs a DTS 5.1 digital decoder in his amp, in addition to a Dolby Digital 5.1 one, to support DTS? and also that he obviously needs to select the DTS soundtrack from the DVD audio menu first and be using the "bitstream" digital output from the player into his 5.1 amp?

Simple things, but they trip up quite a few people new to DVD and 5.1 soundtracks.
