If you're not a Button fan, I suggest you tune in 5 minutes before quali and 5 min before the race.

I think the Hondas will go well here but all attention is on Alonso and Schumacher, fingers crossed for a classic battle.

News just in that the FIA have said Renault's Mass Damper thingy is illegal... hope this means an good race for Ferrari... although I like Button, ITV will no doubt be treating him as the second coming or something :) echoing Panavision above I will tune in 5 mins before also.

I wish ITV would show practice on one of there many pointless channels.

BMW's new driver Vettel set the fastest time of the day which isnt bad for his first time in the car. Ferrari seem comfortable so far, massa being second quickest. Toyota are fast and consistent from what I saw on live timing, honda were fast at the end but i didnt even see them do anything till the end. But the point of this post, right at the end Alonso overtook doornbos and and then they touched wheels. This is what eurosport had to say about it

THE PAIR BANG WHEELS! Was that revenge for what happened in Hungary between the two. Remember Alonso was docked two grid places for blocking Doornbos there, and it looked like it was his doing here again. Worried faces in the Renault pits.

If this GP is 1/2 as good as the last at Hungary, I'll be well happy.

Fairly processional so far. Will be interesting to see how the Ferrari boys somehow swap Massa and Schumacher, if Schu can get past Alonso. Schu falling behind tho, so the question apparently academic.

Excellent ending and good win for Massa.
I thought "team orders" were now outlawed :?: Had Schuey passed Alonso and Massa lost ~8 seconds on the last lap to let his team mate through there could be no arguments that he'd genuinely passed him

Yeah, I was wondering that too when Schumacher got close to Alonso.
If Schumacher had have got past at some point, I can't see any way that they could have orchestrated a pass on Massa that would have looked 'genuine'.

I'm a JB fan but it was nauseating.

A great race.
Massa's about to cry now  A great drive.
Alonso drove brilliantly, suprene survival instincts.
JB drove consistently well, 40 seconds ahead of his team-mate.

Edge of the seat stuff, those last few laps. Schumi must be pondering his mistake(s) in quali.

Still all to play for.

Full story and calender:

The San Marino and European Grands Prix – which have long been de facto second races for Italy and Germany respectively – have been dropped, while the Belgian GP at the magnificent Spa-Francorchamps circuit has been reinstated.

As expected, Australia will resume its traditional role as the season-opener after deferring to Bahrain this year because of a clash with the Commonwealth Games.

The Japanese Grand Prix will move from Suzuka to Fuji, the circuit that staged the country’s first two grands prix in 1976 and 1977.

The 17-race schedule includes five back-to-back races: Malaysia and Bahrain in April, the two North American races in June, France and Britain in July, Italy and Belgium in September and China and Japan in September/October.

2007 Formula 1 calendar

Australia – March 18
Malaysia – April 8
Bahrain – April 15
Spain – May 13
Monaco – May 27
Canada – June 10
United States – June 17
France – July 1
United Kingdom – July 8
Germany – July 22
Hungary – August 5
Turkey – August 26
Italy – September 9
Belgium – September 16
China – September 30
Japan – October 7
Brazil – October 21

I'll agree that losing Imola is bad as I think it gives a better race than Monza. But ever since the second year of the Europe GP it was a waste of time. Nice idea for a rolling race (used Donnington for the 1st year if I remember rightly), but any idea why it stopped travelling around??

Just how lucky is Alonso... sure great drive to hold MS off... but whoever's soul he's sold for all this luck is paying off.

Too many errors from MS now as much as I'd like to see him take the title I think he's making too many mistakes... Alonso will take the title :(, but Ferrari will win the constructors I think, which seeing how far ahead Renault were early on would be a good result for them I think. Wonder if they regret re-signing Fisi?
