I've just bought a Toshiba 210E and am extremely pleased with it appart from one slight problem. On two DVD's (Star Wars Phantam menace and The Haunting), the picture freezes for 10-15 seconds approx. 45mins into the film. This is NOT the layer change which, on both DVDs occured approx. 10 minutes later.
Is this likely to be a problem with the player or could it be disk related?
Comments would be gratefully appreciated.

Richard

I don't have the same player but the earlier SD-100ES and my copy of The Phantom Menace plays fine. I've only ever had a single problem and that was with Hannibal, this turned out to be a dodgy disk, which stuttered for a while before freezing. Inspection of the disk revealed an area on the outer edge had an indentation, got the disk changed and the replacement worked fine.
Check both disks and incidentally, the suspect Hannibal DVD played fine on both my home PC and laptop.
I have a Tosh 210e and had none of the problems you have described while playing Phantom Menace. In fact i've nevr had that problem on any of my disc's.
By process of elimination you should play the disc's on another player and if you get the same problem then it is your disc's that are playing up. If not then it's the player which is faulty which I suspect is the problem.
