Any idea which out of R1 and R2 is the best for Rush hour 2? Rewind hasn't been updated and comparing websites and the box for the R2 it looks the same as the R1.
Can someone give me a definite answer as my Xmas money is burning a hole in my pocket!

For what it's worth, I bought the R3 version a few weeks ago, for a few reasons:

- it was available, R1, R2, R4 weren't and I'm impatient
- I wanted to try a R3 disk
- it was cheap :)

In summary, the film quality was perfect (both 5.1 and DTS), but you get none of the extras that I think you get on the other region's disks.

So I suppose it's your call whether you want to pay the extra 5 quid or so for a few documentaries and commentaries ...

Cheers

I would reckon the R1 Infinifilm release to be the best release. I think the R2 release might miss out on some of the extras of the R1 as is the case normally but I maybe wrong, don't think I am but I maybe:D

Hi there - I hadn't realised that the Rewind comparison was still out of date, but it's not any longer, I've just updated it!

Can I ask - while I'm here - why you didn't post this on the Rewind forums? It's far more likely to be picked up there. :D

not exactly a comparision but worth a read if you're interested in the r2 http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44199
