I've got the R2, and I recommend it unreservedly - great film, superb anamorphic transfer and tons of extras including loads of deleted scenes and some real left-field surprises (bizarre Mexican TV interviews, for instance).

Fantastic film, great transfer, good extras so buy it.
My daughter who normally refuses to watch anything in black and white watched and enjoyed it.

And as the R1 is Non-anamorphic a very rare example of R2 being better than R1...........
