Jivebunny were pretty hot

Stars on 45 were a bit lame though - not really banging enough

Am i the only person who doesn't mash ups? To me they do one of three things

1. Mix two bad songs to make one bad song
2. Mix a bad song and a good song to make one bad song
3. Mix two good songs to make one bad song

None of those really appeal to me

There was a recent CD called 'The Best Of Bootie 2005' which had a ton of great tracks. It's pretty easy to track down as well.

There's a good one called Marvin's Not In Love - mash up of 10CC and Marvin Gaye.

Go Home Productions stuff can be heard here. http://www.gohomeproductions.co.uk/mp3.html

I agree about Cassetteboy, but it's more comedy than music.

The Harry Potter stuff is hilarious.

Always hated "Horny" myself, but really like this version for some reason!

Dean Gray - American Edit is pretty cool.

This is fantastic, worth getting hold of - it's hardly been out of the cassette player in my van since last year!

A good recent one is a mix of Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall pt 2 and These Boots Are Made For Walking by Nancy Sinatra - incredibly catchy.

I hate Christina Aguilera! But....

I really like the Christina Aguilera v The Strokes - Genie in A Bottle

Another vote for Horny As A Dandy (Mousse T's Radio Mix) - Mousse T vs Dandy Warhols too!

Parkspliced (a bootleg/mashup of Blur's Parklife album) was pretty good I seem to recall.

That's olddddddd! ;)

But a good one nevertheless (and I'm not a Xtina fan and have grown to hate The Strokes).

CCC - Ben E. King (Stand By Me) Vs. The Police (I'll Be Watching You)
DJ Nicky T - Gnarls Barkley (Crazy) Vs. Skee-Lo (I Wish)
Freelance Hellraiser - Vanilla Ice (Ice Ice Baby) Vs. The Strokes (Last Nite)
Go Home Productions - Blondie (Rapture) Vs. The Doors (Riders On The Storm)
Jimmi Jammes - The Beatles (Sgt. Pepper) Vs. Guns & Roses (Paradise City)
Ruff Muff - Goldfrapp (La La La) Vs. The Doors (Love Her Madly)
Solcofn - Dee Lite (Groove Is In The Heart) Vs. No Doubt (Hella Good)
Unknown - Missy Elliot (Get Yr Freak On) Vs. Arctic Monkeys (Bet You Look Good...)

If there is anything there you really wanna hear but can't find kicking about, let me know.

There are another couple doing the rounds that Blue Room listeners might know.

"You Got the Crazy Love" - mash up of "Crazy" (Gnarls Barkly) and "You Got The Love"

and also a mash up of Elastica's "Connection" and Moloko's "The Time Is Now"

I love Essex Doves by GHP.

It's David Essex's vocals from 'Rock On' mixed with the Doves 'Firesuite'.

I've been listening to Mick's tape - I found that funny especially the golf snippets.
Best of booty 05 is impressive as is the Dean Gray stuff.

My favourite mash-up is from a few years ago: "Somebody Else's Beastie" by Essexboy. It turns the Beasties' "Ch-check It Out" from something I find utterly unlistenable (and I have nothing against the Boys) into pure pop genius by sticking Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy" behind it.
