Email I got from the fan club...

As previously announced Queen are starting to roll out DVD material next year and would like a little help from the fans on their first release. The Freddie Mercury Concert at Wembley in 1992 is to be issued on DVD in the spring and is set to include some revealing extras and intriguing footage.

Where we want your assistance is in the packaging. A booklet is being put together for the release, and what we are looking for are fan photos from the day of the show. If you have ANY photos of the performances, shots of you and your friends, the stadium and surrounding area, the crowds-ANYTHING-we would love to possibly include them as part of the 10th Anniversary DVD.

So if you have any spare time over the Christmas break to dig them out, please do-or at least have a little think as to whether you may have some suitable shots for possible inclusion. We are looking to add an area to Queen Online where you will be able to upload the photos for us, but if you are really keen you can send them to the following address.

Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert Photos
Outside Line
180-182 Tottenham Court Road
London
W1P 9LE

It would be best to send copies of your photos as we cannot guarantee the return of any originals.

Many Thanks

Gallileo

I wonder if this DVD will include the stuff missing on the VHS though, in particular the Spinal Tap sequence.

I've still got my original video recording of the 1992 BBC2 broadcast, which included Spinal Tap, and also Extreme doing an excellent 'Love of My Life'. I hope the DVD is released with the concert as a whole, since the cuts to the VHS version were made as a direct result of the performing artist's requests.

The behind-the-scenes stuff should be fascinating too. There are some great snippets in the Champions Of The World documentary that I would love to see more of.
