Alienware, any good?

Ok guys, I'm looking for a high-end gaming system, I'm talking a real bad mother of a system. I'm not rich however, but can afford upto around two-grand as long as it's a structured payment plan, would prefer not to pay any interest. Alienware's look absolutley awesome, but are there any other better options? So yeah, simple, I want a damn good gaming system, I'm not into building myself, so just hit me with some sugestions guys.

Have a look on the Dell (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?p=702&a=60823&g=19472) site too. I'm sure that some of the high end Dell laptops are just rebadged Alienware machines now that Dell own Alienware.

I ordered a core 2 SLI system from http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ a few days ago, they seem to be good prices and theres a large choice of some monster systems and you can customise to some extent so you could save some money, or spend more!

Alienware are good but extremely overpriced.

I bought an alienware kit for around £2k recently

I wasn't too impressed with the customer service, the build took 10 days longer than they quoted and their technical support is somewhat incompetent.

The machine itself is a beauty though, very stylish. However, the case is massive, it's a really big machine and it's a touch noisy too, even though it's liquid cooled with acoustic dampening.

BTW also, I didn't actually find them to be that overpriced. People always slate alienware prices, however, I specced up similar machines and the price wasn't that much different from various other places. (unless i comprimised on component quality then it was cheaper)
