View Full Version : Stargate SG1 - 10x02 "Morpheus" **SPOLIERS**
Well, surprising after last week's episode that so little was really made of the Ori invasion this episode. Just a quick comment as Teal'c returned about the advances.
Thought this one was a return to the old goodness of SG1, a good off-planet mystery illness. And loved the idea that all that Mitchell and Teal'c did catching the creature in the caves was for nothing!
And was it just me or was Vala looking very cute in this one with those bunches? :n0rty:

I liked this episode, it felt quite good to have a little standalone show (even though they are often the ones I enjoy the least). I enjoyed the not-falling-asleep aspect, it's something anyone could relate to, we all know what it feels like to be on the verge of sleep, but trying to stay awake - you reach a certain point where you just think, "screw it, I don't care, I'm going to sleep!"
Vala's subplot was quite amusing!

Bit of a filler ep, liked the Monty Python line, tho.
Did not think of it as a filler myself, the pace just eased off after a rather intense period. We got to learn a bit more about the search for Merlin's weapon, saw some great characterisation of Vala. And saw a bit more of Robert Picardo, who appears to be shaping up into quite an important recurring character in both SG1 and Atlantis.
Enjoyed this. Felt like a classic SG1 episode. The Vala B plot was great and the A plot was decent enough. The cinematography in the village was fantastic. Did feel they seemed to run out of time at the end though.

How was it for nothing, in the all too brief round up bit, they said they took the sample that Teal'c got (the lizard thing) to replicate a cure, IIRC. I'm amazed the thing didn't escape with all the stumbiling Teal'c was doing in those caves though!

"wasnt he one of the knights who said Ni!" :notworthy :notworthy
Good episode - the mystery and investigation on the planet was very old school Sg-1, but the resolution was a little rushed, I thought.
Not so happy about the "expert" linguist Daniel Jackson mangling his way through "Welsh" words... couldnt they have written it phonetically for the poor love, he was  awful!
noticed that. had to listen several times to try and figure out if what he said actually matches. still cant figure out what he blurted out after 'Gwlad'.
