Was going to go for it but then saw it was only for a pair.

Without being greedy, surely for a family film these should be family (4)tickets

Have they any idea the potential arguments that would happen in our house if we only got two tickets :help:

Went to the Cars screening tonight with the family, and a load of people from work. The tickets had no identifing numbers or name on them, and could easily have been reprinted or photocopied over and over. Few people in work registered for their tickets and I got the wife to register so we could take the kids.

They were actually surprised at how many people turned up, and moved the screening into a bigger cinema from one of the smallest ones. Still not half full though

It's the 2nd free screening I've been to now, and on both occasions they didn't even look at the print out, just told them what I was there to see and they just shrugged and said, "oh the free screening it's in screen number.>>"

Loads of family's there to watch it, so the whole two tickets per person thing doesn't really have any affect.

Got my tickets for Miami Vice today. Here is another way to get them

Method 2:

To claim two tickets to a preview screening, choose your cinema from the list, then call the booking line. You will be given a reference number. Write that number on the voucher you print out using

and present it at the screening.

UK: 0901 553 0240 (50p/min)
Calls should last no longer than four minutes. Calls from mobiles and payphones may cost more. Lines close at 4pm on Tuesday, August 1, or when all tickets have been allocated, whichever is sooner.

Please check The Knowledge each week as some cinemas may need to be changed at short notice.

The missus and her friend went for this in Nottm and was also full even though they got there just before 6:30. I think due to the easyness of just printing off your own ticket more people went then were actually issued with them.
Better not tell them you were given an alternative as they weren't.

When i attend free screenings i always go at 6pm (this is the av time they start - show starts at 6.30). And just go in grab good seats and have a chat with the missus or friends (whoever comes).

We got there late one time (6.25pm) and got 2 seats but they were in the corner and at the front. So try not and be late if i can help it. I've been going to these for about 4 years now and back then you'll be lucky to get 10 people in there. Now it's a diffrent matter.

Screenings on Tuesday 26th September from the BBC. Chances are this will be mentioned on tonight's Film 2006, but this is a bit of a heads-up since the page is already active. The ticket allocation is usually random with these screenings so good luck!

Cheers, that's a great set of links.

Anyone who've been following the World Trade Centre screenings thread (here (http://www.thedvdforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=444740)) will know this already, but I'll mention it again.

The BBC seem to have messed this up by not posting the correct screening information on their page. I recieved my tickets for Manchester today to find glaring differences:
- The screening is on Sunday 24th Sept NOT Tuesday 26th Sept
- The time is 10am for 10:30am NOT 6pm for 6:30pm
- The Manchester screening is at the Printworks NOT The Trafford Centre

The Devil Wears Prada

Free tickets to a preview of The Devil Wears Prada

To mark the release of The Devil Wears Prada in cinemas nationwide on Thursday, October 5, Telegraph readers are invited to a special screening on Tuesday, September 26 at 8pm for an 8.15 start.

To claim your free tickets, collect two tokens for two tickets or four tokens for four tickets (maximum of four tickets per person). Today we are printing the first token. Simply present the tokens, along with a completed form, one of which is printed today, to the cashier at a participating cinema during box office hours from today until Tuesday, September 26, inclusive. Tickets are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Devil Wears Prada (cert PG)

In the dizzying world of New York fashion, where size zero is the new two, and a bad hair day can end a career, Runway Magazine is the Holy Grail. Overseen with a finely manicured fist by Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) – the most powerful woman in fashion – Runway is a fearsome gauntlet for anyone who wants to make it in the industry. To make Runway the fashion bible of New York and therefore the world, Miranda has let nothing stand in her way - including a long line of assistants that didn’t make the cut. A stint as Miranda’s assistant could open the doors for recent college graduate Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway). But to become the perfect assistant, Andy will need to make herself over in Miranda’s image. Soon, much to her boyfriend’s (Adrian Grenier) dismay, she can talk the talk, walk the walk (in flawless Manolo’s) and never again confuse Dolce with Gabbana. But the more of life she sees through Miranda’s eyes, the more she begins to grasp that Miranda’s world is a fabulous but lonely one – and that sometimes great success depends on great sacrifice…but at what cost?

From past experience just because a particular screening with 1 code is full does not mean they all are.
Exactly right - because each code is allocated a number of tickets for each venue.

Cheers for the codes.

After a discussion behind the scenes we have decided to treat these codes in exactly the same way as gift voucher codes.

Do not post any codes for free films unless you can provide the terms and conditions for it, and also only if it is available to everyone.

Any codes posted from magazines which were intended for readers of that magazine only will be removed.

That will be fine but these codes must not be posted on unless the full terms and conditions are posted as well.
