I have just ordered a vhs movie from the states and it won't play on my vcr which is a jvc model. I think the reason is that it must be NTSC and my video may only be able to play PAL. However, is there anyway I can play the tape. I have not tried using a scart lead yet, I am using an RF cable.

Has anyone any ideas??http://members.tripod.co.uk/zenza/Images/cat5.gif

I tried using the scart but it's no good. I have a sony wega fx 60 TV and a jvc video. I think its' about 10 yeears old. Sleek black model with programmable remote (with display).

I can watch the picture when rewinding but otherwise I just get a black screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ah! My dad's got one of those videos - about 14 years old and still perfect playback/recording! The remote control is just so cool!

Anyway, try playing with the tracking on the video... you just might be able to convince the video to play it, but I very much doubt it.
