as in this (http://www.diytools.co.uk/diy/Main/Product.asp?iProductID=1710) but made of aluminium?

i bought some before but it was made of chrome steel. so my little saw didnt stand a chance :cry:

anyone know anywhere to buy?

i've googled but cant find any

They are made of steel because of the potential heavy load they will carry!

I think I had some aluminium uprights (and brackets), many years ago, bought from a local DIY store (in Portsmouth). They were relatively flimsy, okay for display (ornaments etc) or short shelves, but not up to holding a metre run of large hardbacks.

Silly question, perhaps, but why don't you invest in a bigger hacksaw? Should work out cheaper, and You are sure to find other uses for it.

hmm, i just want it for a hard disk rack tbh

can anyone suggest where to buy a hacksaw that can handle chrome steel? i looked at the last blade i used on this thing and its bare now. smooth as silk!

p.s. i have a dremel but no saw attachements if anyone knows of any good add ons for cutting steel with this
