Changed by association...

I was thinking about this the other day, what music has changed due to it being used in something like a TV show, film or something in life.

For me was Virginia Plain by Roxy Music. That is now inseperable from the Big Train sketch where they have Kevin Eldon made up like Mao singing (along with the rest of the cast made to look like the rest of Roxy Music.) I can't help but smile a lot whenever I hear it. :)

I was listening to Steve Lamaq last night and he was playing the opening seconds of Helicopter by Bloc Party on a loop over a competition that lasted about 2 minutes. It made me want to not hear the song for a while.

There's a song on the Super Furry Animals album Love Kraft that bursts into a "Rawwwk" guitar rift and once my other half did some comedy air guitar along with it.

Now, even when he's not there I can't listen to the song without thinking of him doing the silly action and I start laughing to myself! :D
