Shame there was no 3 for £40 sale in Smiths this year, I was hoping to pick up Tomb raider, Pearl Harbour, Enemy at the Gates and a couple more I didn't want to pay full price for. Oh well I guess it saved me a few quid:nuts:

I got The Hunt For Red October yesterday as part of Virgin's 3 for £27 deal and watched it this morning. Why does everyone say it's the worst looking DVD? It looks fine, apart from the ropey special effects but that's hardly the DVD's fault. I could name a lot of DVDs with much worse transfers than that.

When HFRO first came out i was put off by all the bad reviews it got for picture quality. But when i saw it in the sales i decided to take a chance being so cheap, thinking 'if it's that bad then i just trade it'. But the picture was fine, not perfect, but more then adequate. There was gain but it seemed like it was the original print rather then the transfer, and perfectly watchable. Still at least i got it now and for a cheaper price. :D ;)
