View Full Version : Frosties Advert
Surprised this hasn't been posted before - just HOW annoying is that frosties advert??? :brickwall
I thought they'd stopped showing it as I hadn't seen it for a couple of weeks, but now it's on nearly every damn ad break!!!
Is this the one with the annoying kid saying ''they're going to taste great''?
Wrong forum BTW :)

I like all his gangsta-isms near the end.
I bet you he gets the urine ripped out of him by his mates. Assuming he has any.
It sure is annoying, but still the worst one for me by a country mile was the Brita advert where that annoying tart says "It's MY lovely cup of tea".
I think it's the waving arms about at the end that winds me up the most - what the hell is that all about??
I think it's the waving arms about at the end that winds me up the most - what the hell is that all about??
Yes! That's absolutly the worst part, he manages to fit about 10 gestures into the move and he looks like a prat doing it. It elevates the ad from bad to annoying
LOL PMSL. yeah the arm waving is cripplingly annoying. This advert makes me change channel at the moment. The tune gets stuck in my head but nowt about the Frosties part... I had to try and remember the other day what it was even advertising!
camaj - glad to see another yidd on the forums :)

I still haven't seen this yet, so I'm probably lucky.
I can't stand this advert either, but they have probably made it this way on purpose so people will talk about how bad it is :suspect:
I really hate the Halifax ads. So much so I'd never open an account with them.

Exactly...

The ad was filmed in South Africa. Maybe that kid is the height of cool there?
Isn't there some urban legend going around about how this kid is dead because of all the bullying he's got from being in this **** ad? or something?

This ad is annoying, but no advert is as bad as the loan advert with the wife who films her husband talking to a call center and remarks that they'll talk about football, whilst he says that they are really easy to talk to ....
or the insurance man with 47 chins.

How do you know that? I wondered if it was filmed somewhere else because the streets don't look very British and also, it's sunny

Maybe but it makes some people want to boycott the product as revenge.

yeah. i heard about that as well from different people. I think it was even talked about on radio 1.
One was that he took his own life. Another, was that his mate shot him because of it.
I think it turned out to be untrue.
I cant stand that YOP ad... the woman who mimes "Yop until the mornin' come" needs a good slap for the WORST lip sync ever!!
None of the ads mentioned are as bad as the one where that stuck up little bitch harps on at her equally shrewish mother about how Sarah's mum is so cool! :oh-hum: It's for some cereal but I dunno which as I always turn over when it's on!
How about the Clover ad where people are over come with emotion and actually cry cause they are eating it!

Oh god that Frosties ad is infuriating!! 3 things bug me about it:
-The dubbing - its obviously a super-fun 30 something year old singing
-The lyrics - who the **** eats frosites off a "plate"
-The choreography - he doesn't deserve arms

Calm down dear......its only an advert!!!
Now THAT ad really cheeses me off!
Back to Frosties, I am waiting for the photoshopped pictures of the boy go around....

That one could make me kill. Particularly the way he mockingly pretends to throw the ball into his wife's face. "YESSS!!"

Whenever I see that ad it winds me up as well, the whole 'they're such a friendly bunch :)' thing!
They couldn't care less whether it's raining where you live you idiot, they just want to bleed you dry ASAP!! WAKE UP MAN!!!!
Perhaps if you didn't fritter your money away on Camcorders, you wouldn't be in the financial mess you so clearly face yourself with !

Quite right too. Opening an account would only serve to indicate to the Halifax bigwigs that they are onto a winner with those adverts (which they're not). I hate them. Mind you, I hate most adverts.

I'm glad to see that many of the ads I hate the most are being pilloried (including the frosties one).
I also hate the fruit pastille one with the rappers and the small, but really annoying blonde kid. There's a face that just can't get slapped often enough.
Also hate the latest halifax ad. I hope their nads fall off. And they slip on them.

Ah, the Frosties ad... and there was me thinking I was the only one who wanted to fire a cannon at that kid when he sings that bit about "if you live in Aus, mate..." Grrrrr.
Anyway, here's the full horror of those 'lyrics'...
they're gonna taste greeeeeeaaaaat,
they're gonna taste greeeeeeaaaaat,
they're gonna taste greeeeeeaaaaat,
I can hear the sound of frosties hitting me plaaaatte
they're gonna taste greeeeeeaaaaat,
with tony ma mate
everybody knows frosties taste great
even ladies who wait
or a pi - rate
and you teenage brother whos out on a date
if you live in Aus mate
or the empire state
even ladies with a person-o-lised number plates.
or a bloke in a crate
well he knows they taste great
they're gonna taste greeeeaaaaaat
they're gonna taste greeeeaaaaaat
they're gonna taste greeeeaaaaaat
they're gonna taste greeeeaaaaaat :oh-hum:
Everytime I see it I hope the kid falls off the crane... what is with the arms thing. Not good.
What's with Tony the Tiger always hanging out with kids anyway? :suspect:

Has anyone noticed Tony's eyes at the very end when the kid is doing the thing with his arms, they are all over the place. He's out of it. It's the only explanation for him lowering himself to it. Too much sugar?

Stripey *******'s been at the catnip!
or the insurance man with 47 chins.
The company is called Pi, as well.
Adverts can go too far the other way, the Ewan McGregor-voiced Land Rover ad
"There is a place, called Beyond"
They just need the Stig to drive one around doing donuts in a muddy field, then put the price and a phone number at the end. Sold!
On-topic, that Frosties ad is mega-crap, the marketing team will hopefully be put against the wall for that. I love my Frosties, but I am tempted to boycott them until this advert goes away.
Do it, boab, it's the only way they'll learn
I can't stand the air freshner ad with the ******* child and his "1 puff, 2 puffs, 245 puffs" who the **** cares you modern day damien ****!!
Also who decided fat, ugly kids would be able to sell ******* vauxhal zafira's??
I can't stand the air freshner ad with the ******* child and his "1 puff, 2 puffs, 245 puffs" who the **** cares you modern day damien ****!!
That one should be followed by a PSA about childhood asthma and how it's caused by unnecessary chemicals around the home! Not that I'd mind if the little **** in the ad wheezed himself to death though. :D

ScottScott, is this the roundabout?
DadDad, take the next turning on the left...
Grrrrr, I could think of two other words for those bleedin' TomTom adverts.
"Sarah's Mum" from the Shredded Wheat adverts, Sarah's mum probably never had a kid that had a bloody annoying voice.
The ad (dunno what it's for) where the kid says "Dad, can you show me how to do a sliding tackle" makes me well up. All the Brit talent is going into the advertising industry while the chaff make BBC/ITV drama.

 A perfect example of how not to sell a product! And besides, Sarah's Mum is a right ******* bitch!
Charlie Brooker took a swipe at the retarded Frosties spazz on Screenwipe last night!
(I reckon he's a member here you know!) :suspect:
The frosties ad has been beaten as the wanna smash the screen no.1...
THE SKECHERS AD!!!!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!! "WHO WOULD DO THIS TO MY SKECHERS!!"

I'm not a fan of the frosties ad - but would rather watch it than the quite scary man "have you been in an accident?" - If I had, I wouldn't contact you!
And yes, the Skechers ad - how annoying! :brickwall

Thought the title said 'fosters advert' :D
It's now running on the radio too!
It's got UK children singing the song, and encourages more kids to phone in and record their version too!
I work in a radio station, so turning it off isn't an option, aarrghh!!!
Think I'm going to start boycotting Kelloggs!

Since this thread has been resurrected, and I never saw it the first time around, I'd like to comment how pleased I am that people recognised the annoyingness of that boy's are movements at the end of the ad.
When it first started airing I'd always tell whoever was in the room when it was on to "watch how quickly he runs out of things to do with his arms". I just found it patheticly 'over-enthusiastic' for what is essentially cornflakes with sugar.

What?! Ahh, ruin it for all of us won't you. :brickwall
